The Captain’s Crucible is no ordinary trial — it’s a brutal test of skill, nerve, and precision. You begin with nothing but a green flashlight and zero perks. Your mission is simple… but far from easy: land a successful flashlight save and escape the trial to earn your first reward — a single D-Tier perk.
Climb the ladder one hard-fought saves at a time. Collect four D-Tier perks before you’re even allowed to upgrade to a C-Tier. But remember — only escapes with a successful flashlight save count. No save, no progress.
Think that sounds easy?
Then step into Ironman Mode.
Every death costs you a survivor. No second chances. No safety net. Just you, your flashlight, and the fog closing in.

WHAT?
Dead by Daylight is an extremely popular asymmetrical horror game where one player is the Killer and the other four are Survivors. The Survivors' objective is to escape the trial by repairing five of seven generators scattered throughout the map, rescuing their team mates and powering the exit gates.
WHY?
The Captain’s Crucible originally began as a rough idea back in 2023. It had no official ruling on a complete whim. Since then, it’s been fully reworked, refined, and given official rules to become the challenge you see on this website today. Now its open for anyone brave enough to step into the fog and try the crucible.
